Ink marking roll is the most popular wire/cable printing method. Its advantage is the flexibility and low cost. The printing image can be designed by customer's request fully. Our marking rolls are produced by advanced laser engraving system. 

  Specifications of Ink Marking Roll

   Flat roll and Concave roll

       Flat marking roll is used for all wire, cable, plastic and rubber tube. Its advantage is the universal applications. But due to the limited contact area with round wire/cable, the printing height is very limited. Concave marking roll is designed to improve this limitation. The curve surface would increase the contact area and then increase the printing height. The curve would also help the stability of wire running through. So it is very suitable for high speed printing. While the curve size must match the wire diameter to get perfect printing effect.

   Roll Diameter

       86mm, 100mm, and 160mm are standard diameters. The wheel diameter must match the cable printer specification, and is usually decided by printing repeat distance. For example, the printing will repeat every 314.16mm for  O.D. 100mm marking roll. Special diameter ( like O.D. 97mm, the circumference is 1 foot ) can also be made by customer's order.

   Roll Width

       The width of marking roll is decided by size of wire/cable. The standard widths of flat roll are 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 mm. Usually the width must be more than 4 mm larger than wire diameter. The standard widths of concave roll are 3.2, 4.0, 5.0 mm. We would decide the roll width according to your wire diameter.

   Shaft Hole Diameter

       The shaft hole of marking roll must match the size of cable printer shaft. The standard sizes of shaft hole are 12.7, 20, 30 mm. Please check the specifications of your cable printer before ordering the marking roll.

   Roll Material

       To categorize rolls by applied material : standard roll, high durable steel roll, and special size roll. 

       Standard roll is made by aluminum body with bronze or steel tube. High durable steel roll is made by durable steel with special treatment. Its life time is much longer.
